Montery Bay- Headed South
Multiply these scenes times a few thousand at least.
Someone spelled out HOPE! with rocks on the beach.
I sure would like to thank them.
We stopped at a really cool cafe along the way. Nepenthe.
These two photos were taken from the patio.

Pacific Grove Scenes
We went to Pacific Grove for a weddding. A bit chilly for the wedding but otherwise, the weather was great. It is very scenic there and full of life. We stayed at a California State conference center: Asilomar.
Really a great place to stay. Right on the coast.
Lover's Point, wedding location in the distance.
I like how the waves come shooting through the rocks.
Sunset through the Jeep's window.
The old light house. A golf course has been built around it.
White Tailed Kite working the beach.

Hardtack I / Orange 3.8 MT @ 141 kft August 1958
Orange was intended as an exo-atmospheric ABM test using a high yield warhead
These images of atmospheric Nuke testing from the late 1958 are from an extensive web site:

If you watch the film, #65, you learn that one of these rockets with a nuke warhead caught fire and burned up on the ground while they were trying to launch it. So they cleaned it up and launched another one.
