Silent Film of USS Birmingham (CL-62) in WW2

Robert Lewis Box served aboard the USS Birmingham after WW2 war started, and he was aboard until the end of the war.   After the war ended he served aboard the USS Orleck, and then the USS Parks. The Birmingham was in a lot of the Naval battles that took place in the Pacific.
This film shows clips of the crew loading ammo and working on the deck. Also being under attack by Japanese bombers.   There is also some footage of the Birmingham firing on Tinian Island at an enemy base that was there.  It is in the Northern Mariana Islands.

Storm Approaching

Storm Clouds moving in. View from Oceanside Pier. 10 minutes later, as I was walking away a huge rainbow formed (minus the top).  It was really windy and started to rain.
